BreakdownWhen the first Pop Up came out in 2018 it changed the game for day hunters by enabling them to carry a small, convenient, and lightweight bag that could easily convert into a heavy-duty load-hauling frame pack once they got an animal down. Mystery Ranch listened to consumer feedback about a need for more storage and developed the Pop Up 38 which is the largest Pop Up available. The Pop Up 38 frame "pops up" via telescopic stays that utilize trekking pole technology for greater strength and ease of use. This adjustable frame allows you to adjust it to a raised position which allows you to haul heavier loads more efficiently. It features a top-loading shroud and a full-length side zipper for access to the main compartment along with two zippered accessory compartments on the lid. The side water bottle pockets and compression straps can be used to securely carry tripods and trekking poles.

Great bag everything I was expecting!!! Fast shipping. The only down side is shortly after ordering the bags price dropped dramatically for your Black Friday sale. My luck I guess lol
I’m a 2-3 day truck camp hunter and this pack could not fit my needs better. capacity is great, meat shelf is perfect, and the fit and comfort level is the best i’ve found for my body type. (5’7 150lbs size small). I’m confident i could also fit my camp gear and forego the truck if i decided to. Will be ordering from goHunt in the future, shipped within hours, arrived cross country quickly and communication from them was a nice touch, support this company when you can.
I purchase this pack for day hunts out west but I've found myself using it to pack in tree stands and sticks in the whitetail woods by using the meat shelf and popup frame. I'm super happy with it and would recommend it for anyone wanting a super versatile day pack that is equally comfortable in the mountain west as it is in the whitetail woods
I just recently purchased this pack, and have plans on using it multiple times a year on Coues deer hunts. The pack is perfect in size for a day or even overnight trek, and plenty big enough to bring your whole Coues back in one trip. With the convenience in the layout of it all, the way the torso and frame adjust, and the waist band is perfectly contoured plus well enough padded to not cause discomfort in the hips, makes this the perfect pack for this type of hunt. It holds tight to the body and is easy to get balanced. Also is extremely light in weight empty and very well built.
I haven't packed meat yet but am hoping to experience that soon, but coming from a Badlands 2200 to this is a major improvement.
I'm 6'0 185lbs and the L fits perfectly. I also have chronic lower back discomfort and this pack seems to effect it less than my Badlands did.
I intend to use this pack until the last hunt my body will let me go on....
Sweet little pack. Has plenty of room for day hunts. Pretty comfortable too. My only gripe is for the money you pay it is NOT made in the USA and instead outsourced to cheap slave style labor overseas. Shoulder straps could definitely have more padding. Also would be nice to see some way to stabilize the bag to the frame better. Unless it’s stuffed full it tends to want to flop around from side to side slightly. Overall I am happy with it. I’d give it 3.7/5 stars.
