Excellent rangefinder, replacing an inaccurate one from another brand. I like the simple display that calculates angle without two readouts makes it easy to read, especially close to an animal. Well made and all I need for rifle and bow hunting
Awesome piece of equipment. Glad I made the purchase. Vortex and goHUNT never disappoint
Vortex Ranger 1800 Laser Rangefinder
I love the Ranger 1800. Very clear and crisp! Love the Vortex Products! Would Recommend!!
I got this rangefinder to replace my 10 year old Nikon archer max so I could range longer distances since I am getting into rifle hunting a bit more. I compared both side by side and found that the old one provides a faster reading. The Ranger 1800 does have a brighter reticle, even on the lowest setting, which is a nice upgrade since I have had some frustration in the past with my old one during low light conditions. In addition to the brightness on the 1800, I also like the fact that it is more compact, lighter and has the utility clip. The 1800 is accurate and I have been able to get ranges out to 800 yards thus far, although it has had trouble picking up on things from time to time....maybe it just needs to be mounted on a tripod for the longer stuff. Overall I like the product and am happy with my purchase, I just wasn't expecting it to be slower than my dinosaur 'Archer max'. I thought it would be better in all aspects.
