Sea to Summit
BreakdownWhether you are expecting the temperatures to drop past the comfort level of your sleeping bag or you just sleep cold, the Sea to Summit Thermolite Reactor Sleeping Bag Liner is a great option. Its hollow core fibers trap heat and offer great insulating properties, improving the temperature rating of your sleeping bag. It's also soft and stretchy, making it very comfortable.
Sleeping bag liners also help improve the life of your bag by keeping dirt and sweat away from your sleeping bag. When down gets dirty it becomes less efficient. By using a liner you can keep your bag cleaner and the liner is much easier to wash than a sleeping bag. This liner will help you sleep through those chilly nights on the mountain and prolong the life of your sleeping bag.
The liner was soft and comfortable, and I didn't get tangled or anything which was a concern since I roll around a lot, but honestly it didn't seem to make my bag any warmer. I have a Marmot 45 degree and we were seeing night time temps in the low-mid 40s, sleeping in a canvas wall tent with a stove that would burn out every couple hours. I honestly felt warmer without the liner. Might be good for summer camping to warm up bags a little bit but in my experience it didn't help at all.
I love this liner. Absolutely love it.
