BreakdownThe Overlander is a rugged, all-terrain navigator built for every part of your journey. Utilize its 7-inch color touchscreen to switch from turn-by-turn directions for on-road navigation to topography maps for off-grid guidance in North and South America. It features integrated pitch and roll angles as well as a compass, altimeter, and barometer to help you and your vehicle navigate difficult terrain. A built-in rechargeable battery means you can even take it beyond your vehicle.
Use the Garmin Explore app to download additional maps like satellite imagery, topos, or USGS quad sheets on 64 GB of internal storage, additionally, sync all of your data between devices.
Ever needed to find a campsite but you were without cell service? The Overlander has you covered, it's pre-loaded with iOverlander POIs and Ultimate Public Campgrounds, so you don’t need a cell signal to find the best campsites. It also features topographic maps, including public land boundaries, 4x4 roads, forest service roads, waterways, trails, and other land-use data to help ensure you're where you should be.
Towing a trailer or driving a large truck? You can customize the size and weight or your vehicle, plus set alerts for upcoming bridge heights, weight limits, sharp curves, steep grades, and more.
Pair your inReach satellite communicator (sold separately) for two-way text messaging, interactive SOS, and weather forecasts. It can also be mounted anywhere with a powered magnetic mount that comes with a suction cup and a 1-inch RAM ball compatible adapter. You can even pair it with up to 4 BC 35 backup cameras (sold separately) so you can see what’s behind you. GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo support help track your movement and location in more challenging environments than GPS alone.
Bottom line, the Garmin Overlander is a smart addition that makes your off-road and off-grid adventures safe and fun.
this unit does not show private property like my old garmin, if they do not offer a hunting chip it is not worth the money that you will pay for it.
