This call was designed by World Champion callers, Rockie and Corey Jacobsen. It was designed to be very versatile. It makes a nice variety of cow/calf talk as well as a great array of bugles.
i went hunting for the first time last year - used some of these calls - so for my second trip i decided that i would try and buy some more to try while out there. again, they were simple and easy to use. they didn't get me a bull, but they sounded good, worked well, and i would buy them again.
This is my favorite elk call. Tension is just right and I prefer the plastic dome over the metal variety.
Rocky Mountain Hunting Calls All-Star 2.0 Diaphragm Elk Call
The call sounds smooth as butter and I don't know if it is just the call I received, but the call I got had an off taste. It left a feel in my mouth as if I had eaten an unripened persimmon. I've rinsed it several times and it has not improved the off taste. Hopefully the taste goes away because it sounds real smooth.
