Breakdown The Rab Ascent 700 is a warm bag with a comfortable, wide mummy fit. Filled with 650FP European duck down and additional space for wearing layers if needed, this bag is suited for cold temperatures. The Ascent is built with a lightweight and durable, recycled Pertex® Quantum outer fabric with a recycled nylon lining. The trapezoid-shaped, box-wall baffles stack neatly together, encouraging the hydrophobic duck down inside to loft fully, reducing cold spots. Hand-filled in the UK, all of Rab's down bags benefit from never having had their down compressed before use, maintaining the down’s loft and warmth. The generous mummy fit with a wide foot box provides a spacious feel for an easy night’s sleep, and the close-fitting neck baffle keeps the heat in when the temperature drops. It has a three-quarter length main zipper with a down-filled baffle to keep out the cold drafts. The internal zippered stash pocket easily fits a phone or headlamp for easy access during the night. A cotton storage sack and a compression stuff sack are included to ensure a manageable pack size and protection on the road.
