So far I am impressed with the Petzl Swift RL Headlamp. It is very bright with good battery life and the right amount of functions. The reactive lighting is a nice feature. If I lose it, I will buy another just like it.
I had the old style and loved it. Unfortunately I lost it so I hated the price of this light but this is the best headlamp I have ever owned. We will see if it stands the test of time but as for light either working close like in a tree stand or running the road at night this light does it. The split strap also feels like it holds better. This is the brightest light I have used at max output.
Extremely bright and comfortable.
Love this headlamp. I use it every day when I take the dogs out at night. It’s extremely bright and it lasts for well over a week on a charge and I run it on high most of the time.
This is a good headlamp. I found the automatic dimming feature to be effective. Around a tent with buddies I found it to not go as dim as I would like. I also am a backpack elk hunter and I think it is very important to have AAA battery backup. All that said, best use is for nighttime activities like trail running. I will use another headlamp for my camping and backpacking.
