If you already have a Guide Light MT Frame, the Mule Bag lets you utilize your pack for multiple types of hunts
A small bag that's perfect for day hunting from truck camp
Great for the versatile hunters who want to utilize the overload shelf or bigger pack to haul camp into the backcountry and then switch to the Mule bag for their day hunts
Multiple side compression straps along with side pockets make carrying a bow, rifle, tripod, or trekking poles easy and secure
Fits on the Guide Light MT Frame and the new 2020 Pop Up Frame
Top-zip access to the main compartment
Hydration reservoir compatible
- Warranty - Lifetime
The Mule Bag Only fits on the Guide Light MT Frame and the Pop Up Frame. It will not fit on the Guide Light Frame (The frame that comes with 2019 and earlier Metcalfs, Marshalls, and Pintlers). When this bag only is attached to a frame it creates a workhorse that is perfect for hauling the maximum amount of weight in the overload shelf. You can use this setup for day hunts or as a dedicated meat packing setup. It is also a great option for shed hunters. While the Mule was designed with the western mountain hunter in mind it is also very effective in the whitetail woods for packing in a tree stand.

I used it on my Pinter frame. Great for a small pack to carry back and forth to a deer stand.
With the Metcalf's Guide Lite MT frame bag options you actully have 3 bags in one. My several day outing with the regular Metcalf Bag, my afternoon hike with the mule bag, and my back strap meat hauler. Amazing versatility!
Using it predominately for whitetail day hunts when the hike is too long to drag a deer. I could easily spend a night or two in the woods with this pack also. Great quality bag, zippers are what you’d expect from Mystery Ranch.
Mystery Ranch Mule Bag Only
I have the Guide Light MT Frame with the Sawtooth 45. I bought the Mule as a lighter option when I don’t need the capacity of the larger pack bag.
Fits the frame perfectly as a stand alone daypack with load haul ability.
I’m planning to sandwich it in between the frame and Sawtooth for pack in hunts so I can leave the Sawtooth loaded at camp.
Mystery Ranch has served me well the past 5 years. Quality is excellent.
