It has its purpose

So I bought this solar panel along with the goal zero 400 lantern. I reviewed that lantern as well, it was great... more then great... The solar panel though... I was not too impressed with, BUT I feel like it does have its purpose. So first of all in my experience I had to be sure the solar panel had full sunlight. If shade caught it even on a corner it stopped performing or performed at lower potential. It takes a long time for it to charge my phone, either way. When I experience how long that took I didn't want to charge the lantern on it , but at the same time I did not need to recharge the lantern on my hunt.( the lantern was amazing!) This is something I may leave in full sunlight at camp to recharge a power bank in the future. I would not depend on it as your only source of electronic life... at all, but more of a sub source. IT DOES WORK, but in consistent direct sunlight for a long period of time. I made a mistake by counting on the solar panel as my main and only source of power. I would stress, from a lesson learned, to buy power banks... multiple power banks (maybe two good power banks) and count on those and just use the panel to recharge them while away from camp or on your adventure etc...

Nomad 10

I've only tried it outside at my house but I was impressed. It a a cloudy day and within an hour it was able to charge my phone from 55% to 77%. I look forward to using it in the back country in September in Idaho.

Great light weight option

I just got back from a 6 day backpack hunt and this piece done amazing for me. It’s simple to handle and the kickstand was a plus. I’d like to see more ports for charging but overall for the size weight and performance is well worth it.
